Meet the Arizona team behind the misters

Three Phoenix Valley locals on a mission to make Arizona summers actually live-able — one outdoor event at a time.

Our Story

We’ve known each other since we were about 12 years old, growing up in the Arizona heat. Summers here have always been brutal — and anyone who’s tried to spend a full day outside in Chandler or Gilbert in July knows exactly what we mean. You learn early to plan around the heat, avoid midday sun, and accept that outdoor events in the summer are a gamble.

The moment it really clicked for us was Warped Tour 2014 in Mesa. It was a scorching June day, probably 108 degrees by early afternoon, and we stumbled across a misting trailer rental setup near the main stage. Standing in that cool mist in the middle of a packed outdoor crowd, we all had the same thought: why don’t we see more of these? It was the best outdoor cooling we had ever felt — and it was completely portable. No building, no permanent structure, no power-hungry AC unit. Just a trailer, a water line, and instant relief.

We talked about it for years before we finally decided to do something about it.

Why we started outdoor event cooling for the Phoenix Valley

Arizona is home and always will be, but it feels like summers just keep getting hotter. Outdoor events, festivals, markets, and gatherings shouldn’t have to shut down from May through September just because the temperature climbs into the 100s. People in Scottsdale, Tempe, Queen Creek, and across the East Valley deserve to enjoy outdoor spaces in summer — they just need the right cooling solution to make it possible.

We started Atmos to give people real relief so they can stay outside longer, host better events, and stop losing guests to the heat by noon. What we offer isn’t a workaround, it’s a purpose-built outdoor cooling rental solution designed specifically for Arizona conditions. Dry heat, direct sun, open air — our portable misting systems handle all of it.

We serve the full Phoenix metro area, including Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Tempe, Queen Creek, and surrounding cities. Whether you need event cooling rental for a festival, a corporate gathering, a wedding, or a neighborhood block party, our outdoor cooling trailer rentals are built for Arizona heat. No complicated logistics, no giant footprint, just effective cooling where you need it most.

Portable misting system vs. evaporative cooler — what's the difference?

Both can help beat the heat, but they work very differently. In Arizona’s climate, that difference matters a lot. A standard evaporative (swamp) cooler is designed for enclosed spaces and loses effectiveness as outdoor humidity rises. Our portable misting systems are built from the ground up for open-air use, which is exactly why they work so well here.

Portable Misting System

  • Built for outdoors — Open air is no problem!

  • Effective even in high humidity

  • Cools people directly with a fine mist spray

  • Fully portable — easy to position anywhere on-site

  • No ductwork or enclosure needed

  • Scales to large outdoor event crowds

Evaporative Cooler

  • Designed for enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces

  • Loses effectiveness as outdoor humidity rises

  • Cools the air in a room, not people directly

  • Works well in garages, warehouses, covered patios

  • Bulkier, requires dedicated water reservoir access

  • Not practical for large open-air event cooling
